Calling All Regenerative Farmers: Partner Opportunity at Wild Type Ranch
Are you a regenerative farmer in search of a place to get serious about your farming business?
Wild Type Ranch, LLC is looking to bring one or more farmers into our diversified regenerative operation in Dane County, Wisconsin. We're seeking motivated individuals with enough experience under their belt to run their own profitable enterprise in coordination and cooperation with other enterprises on the farm.
What We're Offering
We are flexible on the exact model, but in general we're offering:
Access to land and facilities
Shared equipment
The opportunity to market under our brand
A collegial working environment
In exchange for a negotiated share of the production.
We're open to a wide range of potential enterprises, including taking over one of what we've already initiated. Of particular interest are market garden and pastured broilers.
About the Farm
The farm is a 177-acre former dairy in southern Dane County, south-central Wisconsin. Purchased in early 2025, the property is dedicated to promoting regenerative agriculture. We are now hitting local markets with direct-to-consumer pastured chicken, lamb, pork, and eggs.

Rolling terrain
Beautiful rolling terrain
Approximately 70% recently in row crops
15% permanent pasture
8% woods
Remainder in wetland and meadow
Infrastructure:
Largely intact dairy barn
Two large sheds
Renovated open-front barn with pens
Several additional outbuildings
Working septic, well, and electricity
Note: There is no livable house on the property.
Who We Are
Wild Type Ranch, LLC is a three-person partnership guided by four principles: healthy soil, nutritious food, balanced living, and engaged community.
Sara (60) — Former Animal Science professor with over 20 years of experience running her grass-fed beef operation in Texas.
Brian (53) — Full-time regenerative agriculture consultant who works part-time on the farm. Former dairy farmer.
Justin (38) — Works full-time on the farm with experience managing an urban vegetable and egg nonprofit.
